Christmas at the Museum!

 Hello There, Dear Friends of The Gossamer Tearoom!

I hope all of you are having a Happy Holiday Season so far!  I have some good news!  You have arrived just in time to be here for the opening of Christmas at The Museum at Le Musée Trouvé!

Christmas at the Museum this year includes vintage postcards,

white and purple bottlebrush trees and some of the decorative items

and German toy animals I use in many of the exhibits.

Recently, I was happy to realize I could use postcards from my vintage postcard collection as the artwork in the museum!  I carefully constructed frames from paper I still have from my paper stash collected when I worked at Paper Source (the paper I used here is one called "Shimmer Chocolate").  Each of the frames is made to carefully hold the post cards without harming or marring them.  They are, after all, bits of history, you know!  My most recent addition to my collection is this one of a kittycat with green glass eyes!  She came from the Etsy shop of my friend Annelies, in the Netherlands, Post From the Past.

The sweet little French advertising cards on the back wall,

mounted on the black ribbon,

 were a lovely gift from my friend Laura!

The beautiful paper star was a gift from my friend Liz,

sent in her holiday card to me from last year.

The kitten in this postcard is named "Snowball"!

I love this vintage postcard of Santa Claus,

floating over a city at night.

The German Toy Animals are happy to be back in the museum

at this festive time and are waiting to greet the guests!

As darkness falls, the lights make the museum magical!

It's time to select a tray for serving treats to the guests

from the Teeny Tea dish cabinet!

I am happy to help by arranging the cookie tray to serve our evening guests.

Of course, we are using one of our favorite serving trays,

the one which depicts the Chateau at Chambord.

This year, I have made Kourabiedes, 

Chocolate Sablés and Checkerboard Marble Cookies!

Lion and Leopard are happy to greet the guests and offer them cookies.

Mr. Bear and Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle are happy to visit the museum

each Christmas to see the lights and have a cookie!

This is Edwardy's first Christmas living with us and he is

enchanted by the lights of the museum!

Brownie McNutt and Eadwig are happy to share a treat with the

animals at the museum!
